Ever since I put in my extreme front mount intercooler the car can no longer stay around 160 degrees. It has at times got up as high as 215 degrees, so I installed a set of dual fans. Even with 2 fans running now, it still will get up to 201 degrees sitting in traffic. Is there any fix for this, other than pulling the front mount out.

Try adding a bottle of RMI-25 to your engine coolant.
Nick Micale (R.I.P.) put me onto this stuff years ago & it just plain works to reduce coolant temperatures by 10-15 degrees ( in a properly functioning cooling system).

RMI works good, but if you have a weak spot (potential leak) in your cooling system, it will find it and exploit it.


I live in Phoenix and have a front mount, big aluminum radiator, dual Spal fans and regularly see 210+ temps in traffic.

Nothing wrong with 210 in traffic.
We used a "guide" when in the heavy equipt business: Ambient + 100* is acceptable.
What condition is the rad in?
Voltage at the 2 fans at engine idle/traffic speeds?
Air leaking around the rad?
Turbo wrap?
Under speed pulleys?
Tune correct?
I used to cut the rear hood/cowl seal and wrap some of it around the ac/heater intake screen.
Allows air escape via pressurized flow from the fans and blocks the intake screen.

Prolly not, except in winter, maybe.

Good stuff but 1 qt antifreeze bottle of your favorite water wetter and top it off with drinking water. I like drinking water because it has some minerals in the water.

210 is NOT something to be concerned with in the desert.

Once you put the brick wall in front of the radiator yes 160 is gone forever , but as the others said 200 isn't terrible , 215 is starting to get in the yellow zone.
