Being successful in business means the ability to dump items that are not making profit......something GM did not do.

Ford took out a Government loan before the $hit hit the fan for them.
So they didnt get lumped in with Chrysler and GM.

They basically re-mortgaged themselves. Whoever saw whatever coming and made that call probably has a house in the Greek Islands now. (and drives an Italian car)
