I'm assuming they used the same parts and specs as the motors in the 86-87 TR's? Am I correct, or are they not worthwhile?

Looking at gnttype the block looks to be the same (stock vs SG1), but doesn't say much about the internals the motor came with.
 
They are General Motors warranty replacement engines for the Turbo Regal and are exactly the same short block (less cam) as installed in these cars when manufactured.

What cam came in the motor? Did you have a choice? Do you have specs on stock vs the SG1 cam?

You said short block, what's different about the heads?

They sold out in the mid 90's.
 
No shortblocks available. The only ones you will find are sitting in the corner of someones garage. I did see one last year, it had been setting all wrapped up and sealed for 5 years. Pistons still had the shiney coating on them.
