are the "bad lifters" off of the cam that is in the engine? If so, your cam is bad too!
from my understanding, the stock gm lifters are GOOD.

[Just a Six??]

The GM lifters are stronger as they have a Stellite (sp) foot on them & IMO are quieter than Sealed Power. As mentioned I would grab a new cam & break it in properly. You cant go wrong with the Erson Cam & GM lifter combo. Super Quiet!
