GM just annouced Employee Pricing

I work at a Chevrolet dealership and they now have employee pricing on all 2008 and upto $5000 off all Pickups. The most incentives I have seen.

My Dad bought an 03 Suburban in Aug 03 for $10K off sticker. Listed for $50K got it for $40K. So is the $5K just from GM and then the dealer takes $$$ off too?

What is GM thinking- they can't give cars away & they refuse to lower prices?

I bought a new 08 Ford F250 Superduty 5.4 work truck and they gave me $8000 in incentives last fall. I have never bought a Ford till then. The GM incentives were half that. Maybe GM is getting the picture. Who knows they still have to pay for all the buyouts they negotiated.

i keep getting calls and e-mails from chevy dealers here who want me to trade my 05 VETTE for a new ZO6, i would love to have the car but GM needs to make me an offer i cant refuse.

Around here Dodge is offering $16,000 off their 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks.

Good luck on getting them to do another lease.. Especially a diesel truck. Their already taking a beating on the leases they did in the last 5 years. Doubt they want to give out a lease. The leases are ending and the dealers are stuck with a vehicle that is worth much less than they had planned it would be.

Hmm I have noticed that the new 08 C6 Vettes were getting cheaper. Saw a few on Ebay for $40k I wonder if there is a better deal out there??? On second thought please don't answer that as my wife will die if I buy another car.:wink:

It seems like it's a good time to buy a new new car. I saw an add today with a new G6 for $16k. That doesn't sound bad.
