GM Official Licenced Product?

(I didn't know where to list this question..)
My Daughter gave me a Laser cut metal sign of a turbo 6 Grand National. It has an old sticker "GM Official Licensed Product" with the numbers 99A2326 (last number hard to see) I heard some time ago GM would slap these stickers on just about anything. My Daughter got it at a resale shop. Does anyone know how to check these numbers? It's a nice gift of course, and I'm going to keep it, but if it is original, she's going back to that resale shop.
