AND your stuck driving a Honduh! ;)

$700 a year is way over what I spend less normal maintenance items ANY car would need.

'Cepting gas and alky. :D

I bought a lower mileage car and drove the hell out it as a daily driver with no problems. 20 miles to work? Why worry? I can't believe some people would actually worry about driving that far away from their house in one of these cars. If so I'd sell it. Just have AAA in case you need it and backup transportation which I'm assuming you have since in SD everyone has a 4x4 somewhere for bad weather!

700 a month was not an exaggeration. Between the trans breaking, 4 flat DRs, new Comp TAs destroyed in a week due to a bad alignment, coilpack and module, posi, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, 2 alternators, rental cars, and much more went wrong in the 3 months it was a daily driver. Then again I averaged 220miles a day, 5-6 days a week, and a 460mile round trip to Vegas once a month.
I know some of those problems weren't the car's fault but it seemed like something was always happening to it. Maybe I should've said MY GN would not make a good daily driver. I know of some that have been abused daily and never break down. Mine hates me.

As for the Acura, I said I would never own a Honduh product but with a 7yr 100,000 mile warranty, more comforts, and knowing it's going to start every morning changed my mind. I think the unreliability of my GN pushed me toward it also. Maybe I'm just getting old.
