Howzit,

I have been checking out this board for some time now.
So I figure its about time I register. I've been going to the monthly
Pro Gas races lately and I've noticed a GN parked near the tower at the last two races. Is it anybody from this board? Nice car!

Nelson:) :) :)

What's up Nelson! Sorry, don't know the answer to your question, but I'm sure someone else here does. Welcome to the Hawaii section. Glad to have you aboard.

Howzit Nelson! :)

How was BG?

I still want to check out your GS's!....:D

Thanks Steve & Geoff

I had an awesome time in Bowling Green, I would recommend you guys go experience the power these Buick motors can produce. Its not that expensive to go. The airfare was 540.00, room for 3 was 45.00 a day and car was 22.00 a day based on a weekly rate. The prices are total cost. We stayed at the Microtel Inn which was like brand new and lucked out on the car as we got upgraded to a Dodge Intrepid at no cost. It pays to say Aloha to the rental rep and give them a box of macadamia nut candies!:D :D :D

Anyway, imagine going to the tracks and seeing only GN's, Turbo T's, T- Types, GS's and everyone you talk to can relate since everybody were Buick people.

Bring plenty of money because you can get carried away at the swap meet. I don't even own a GN but I bought some NOS GN parts  . Well I do own a '86 GN but its only 1/18 scale! To be honest, I did consider buying one of the 'cherry' turbo cars for sale but snapped out of it.
We took a lot of videos and maybe I can show some highlights at your guys next gathering if you guys are interested. Also, we toured the GM Corvette assembly plant and the Holley Performance factory as they are located in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Hey Nelson,
If I'm not mistaken, you're the guy who ran into my wife (a rare instance when she was driving my Turbo-T) down at the University Children's Center.

My daughter will be starting kindergarten at the UH Lab school next week. Maybe I'll see you some time dropping off or picking up the kids!

Yes that was me. Congratulations on having your daughter being selected to attend the UH Lab school. Could it be because we drive performance Buicks? I guess we will be seeing each other because my son will be a first grader and they will be in the same class. Be seeing you soon.

Nelson:)

Finally!

It's about time you finally registered! I swear you almost know everything that was said in this forum for the past year but know one knew you:)

Eh Joe!

I was going to wait till I got my own GN or Turbo Regal but as you know, thats not going to happen now. :( At least not in the near future. I now have to focus on my new secret project. :D :D :D

Thanks Leilani :)

I went to the Windward Mall cruise last night hoping to meet up
with some of you guys but there was only one GN there. Spoke to the owner (Keith) for like 30 seconds because of the sudden downpour. Oh well, now I'm off to Hilo for the week for work, propably more rain there too :( .

Nelson

Nelson,

You must've come late, as Ronnie-D was there early-on, but had to take the kids to see a movie... his car is a nice driver and is new on the Island... Next time come talk to the Impala SS guys and the Monte SS guys (mainly me)
