I did a search, and came up with very little.
I am going to try this governor swap. I just want to know what to expect. I am hoping to bring my full throttle 1-2 shift to a higher point. Part throttle is good, actually very good. But, It is shifting at 42-4500 out of first @ WOT. Which for a wimpy little 388 stroker Chevy, aint cuttin` it! :-)
Thank you...Brian Hofer

I just finished a similar situation and finally got it right. Unfortunately theres no science for it but the gn gov should get you a nice shift and bring it higher. There are old discussions that helped me greatly if you do a search. Lee thompson suggested that every gram off the small weight will give you a 200rpm higher shift and thats what I did and it worked great.
you might be ok without modifying it if you just put one from a gn in,good luck.
