GN Fire at bradenton

A buddy told me a GN that ran 10.45 cuaght on fire at the end of the track last saturday.And was wondering if anyone know who's it was?

Apparantly was a transmission line that ruptured and cuased the mess.

Lets hope it was not Cal. He runs in the 9's solidly. In any event, this is sad news for someone.

I was thinking it may have been the ex-metco car.A Mudstang racer on another board asked who's it was.

Thats a burgundy color..not black,but a non-gn owner cant tell the difference.

He's not on this list,I dont think,but wish who ever it was support.

I heard it was Dave DuPuis from Orlando. He was OK from what i heard, and they are putting the car back together now for GS Nationals. This is all second hand info though.

Yes, it was Dave. He came to the meeting last night. He said fuel sprayed out of the end of the fuel rail right into the fans which shot it back towards the engine and it ignited. He said it was pretty bad, but he's already got it together for BG.
