Gn Stock Air Box

Are The 84-85 Gn Air Box The Same As The 86-87 Gn Air Box?
I Think It Was On This Site That I Read The 84-85 Gn Air Boxes Were Different Or Some Of The Parts Were Different Than The 86-87 Gn Air Boxes.

The tops are different. I'm not 100%for sure but I think the only difference is the inlet snorkel. The 86-87 has the two slots in it for the cold air duct to snap into. There was no duct on the hot air cars so therefore no slots. Evolution I guess. If that is the case than you could run it assuming you didn't need the cold air duct.
