I have always wanted a big block Camaro or Chevelle but am not sure if I want to part with my GN. Now that they are almost 20 yrs old do you think they are going to skyrocket in price. Although they are fairly scarce it seems that they are still fairly inexpensive. I don't want to make a dumb move and sell if the prices are about to take off. It seems to me too many people are giving them away!

I don't know if they will "skyrocket" but they won't be going down in value any time soon.

Sell it if you need the money, but I wouldn't sell one to buy a "classic" musclecar at this time... too close to Barrett Jackson. Soon every rust bucket in ever trailer park will be "worth" $40K.

If you want a big block musclecar, wait until the hype dies back down and winter sets in next fall. But get it before SEMA in November, because that's when the hype starts ramping back up.

I love a big block chebby just as much as the next guy, but why sell a car that gets 25mpg, has AC, can seat 4-5 people, and is comfortable for a loud car that gets 12mpg and is a nightmare for anything over 30 miles?

If you were keeping the GN, I'd say buy a big block, but to sell the gn for a bb chebby, I just don't see the benefit other than sounding better than a GN, cuz most BB chebbys can't keep up with a mildly modded GN unless you spend big bucks or throw on some NOS! ;)
