GN vs. GNX

whats the difference in weight between a stock GN rim and a GTA front (gnx style)? would this difference make any difference in quarter mile ET and MPH?

Not exactly sure what the weight difference is between a GNX rim vs a GN rim is but keep this in mind. Any time you can reduce the amount of rotating mass you will benifit.

Driving over your crank certainly reduces rotating weight quite a bit, but there are other, better, ways.

I've actually weighed both and got about 12 lbs per wheel. Removing almost 50 lbs of rotating weight will most certainly increase trap speed and lower ET however not by much. I'd say, 1/2 a tenth and 1/2 MPH. Doesn't sound like much but it's about a half car length at the end of the quarter mile.
