GN vs. MCSS stock stall...

I have a spare D5 from my GN drivetrain, would it be worth the time to transplant it into my son's '85 Monte Carlo SS? We'll be replacing the 305 with a built 383 early next year... Anyone know what the stalls on either of these is?

Believe it or not they are the same...........GN and SS Monte
D-5 high stall...

In fact neat lesson.... put in the monte with the monte drivetrain.... then put in Gn and get a lesson in what torque will do to alter stall of same converter just different power band.
Watch what happens.....

And yes , what you want to do will work just fine. No problem.....
