Anyone got one? Im just curious as to how to it bolts up from the top. where do you drill the holes? how do you tighten the bolts, etc.
Anyone done it or have directions?

you dont need to drill holes it is already lined up with the factory ones that are there ...remove grill etc and prop the ic up the top will line up then just install bolts...can be a tight fit lining it all up but it at least it does line up...gl.

Yeah, the holes are already there, just remove the bolts that are in the holes and install the front mount with the longer bolts that are supplied. It is the easiest mod I ever did to my car.

Oh, I didn't remove the grill or anything. Just had somone hold the intercooler in place while I started the bolts.

How is the gn1 front mount as far as quality and value? What is the hp rating? What size pipes, are they 3"?

I have one sitting here waiting to install. Great value. Will not find another FMIC this nice for the price. Expect to spend $800-$1200 for other brands, unless you want an ebay intercooler for $200.

Pipes are 3". There are two models. One has a 3" thick core and claims it's good up to 800HP. The 4" thick version says 500-1000HP.

Toss the blue silicone hoses that come with it. They are not long enough to clamp and hold the connections together. Just had to go through this with a GN that was brought to me with several issues one being the IC connections.

Wound up using hoses that were 3-4 inches longer and good t bar clamps and no more leaks.
The IC is a knockoff of the KB Big Boy IC.

yep, the install was easier than I thought. the only glitch I had was that the riveted on piece of plastc attached to the grille wouldnt fit with the intercooler mounted, so i ended up removign it completely, then the springs wouldnt fit and the grill hung. so the piece of plastic is now screwed together and cut.

I did notice that the hoses werent long enough as well. I will have to go to the local import shop and pick some up

Ill get you the NAPA # and you can save some cash. Unless u are dead set on the Silicone stuff.

Heavy Duty Hose Part #'s from NAPA

The turbo to IC size listed is for the stock size and listed it for future searches.
For a transition hose, I have always used the nomex silicone type and purchased the last one from G body parts.
The last ebay IC/gn1 perfromance one kept blowing off the Up Pipe connections and the guy had already fixed the Turbo-IC hose with the type I mentioned above.
The below 2 1/2" hose fixed the up pipe issues.

Turbo - stock IC 2" is a Napa #NBH635

IC-Uppipe 2 1/2" Napa NBH 639

You should be able to get away with just the 2 1/2" inch hose on all the connections. May be a lil snug at the TB but it will go since the TB is approx 1/8" larger.
Hose is sold by the foot, when you cut it for the final use make sure to cut long for each connection.

Here are some good clamps for the up pipe connections good and wide the wide clamp is the key at the TB connection.

Hose Clamp, 2-1/4" I.D., 2-5/8" O.D.; Standard T-Bolt
Napa part: BK 7051531
