When I bought my TR last fall I was told that in place of my TR chip their was a GNX chip. My question is what effects this might be having on my car good or bad:confused:

The Scanmaster will work with any chip. Although there is some code that can be put into a chip that will speed up the O2 and knock update rate and add more things like injector pulsewidth and spark advance.

The GNX chip would probably work ok, but its a little aggressive with spark and boost for pump gas these days. But if your car runs good with it, use it! (Just watch for knock).

To anyone interested in chip stuff:
The GNX chip is interesting as it uses no PE vs RPM or PE vs TPS correction. The A/F is set to 11.7 in PE and thats it. They must have assumed the MAF was always in its operational range.

Regards,
Eric
