GNX Dash by CAS

I recently purchased a nice CAS GNX-style dash with VDO gauges off ebay. I also purchased a VDO VSS for the electronic speedometer. I have the directions that came with the dash. I tried to install it on my 84GN but had trouble with the alternator not charging so I never got it on the road. I know the tach, oil pressure, water temp, boost and fuel level gauges work. The water temp and oil pressure senders are included along with the VSS. This is not a plug-n-play dash..electrical experience required. See Ebay#7983290763 for photo. Hey guys, not to hijack this thread, but someone told me that he had charging problems. His service engine soon light had gotten disconnected and our wonderful cars don't charge when that doesn't work. If anyone has info that sets me straight, feel free to correct me.

The wire for the volt light is a resistance wire that needs to be hooked up to the idiot light or the volt reg won't charge.
