I’m so glad you guys think the music is crap. The music isn’t for your demographic. Also you guys seem the speak with a little bit of hate in your hearts this is crazy this was ART you probably can see through the hate in your eyes to enjoy anything BLACK other that these CARS!!!!!!!!
LOL, we don't like a certain music so its hate. I loved the Dre half time show two years ago. That's music i like but maybe i'm just old. That's ok, we don't have to agree on music, but that doesn't mean its hate.

I appreciated him naming the album GNX and advocating for our cars.

I would appreciate the car in the show if they hadn't cut up a real GN just so people could pile out of it like a clown car. Was that really necessary?

If he can appreciate the Turbo Buick, he's ok in my book. Not into his music but I know my Dad didn't like my music either. To each their own.
I was thinking the same thing. I have no interest in rap (hate it actually). That being said, he is into these cars, just like we are. Doesn't that make him one of us? If Bruce Springsteen had a TR, everyone would be all into it. The past few years I've attended the G-Body car show in Medina, Ohio (I highly recommend attending, over 300 cars) I've met guys, who love rap, that are really into TRs (and G-Bodies in general). Most of them are really cool and fun to talk to. Their enthusiasm is just as strong as ours. While I disliked the show, I enjoyed seeing a TR getting some national airtime.

One could postulate that someone who truly appreciates Turbo Buicks would not destroy a perfectly good example for a 10-minute stage show. There could have been a way to incorporate the car into the show without hacking it up and the publicity would have been the same. Of course, I have seen no proof that he is really one of us (a car guy). Perhaps he only cares about a GNX. A GNX might just be "his precious" and he may not give two chits about any other TR (see my earlier post about; if it doesn't start with a G). He may just be a poser and not a real car guy. Did this guy destroy a GNX? No, it was just a GN. Being just a T wouldn't have been any better either. Myself, I get upset when someone takes a real TR and does a LS turbo swap. No argument that it is easier to make power, it's faster, it is cheaper to build, and pretty much bulletproof compared to our LC2's, but it destroys the uniqueness of our cars so yeah, I don't appreciate what he did, and that, has nothing to do with his music or his skin color.

The music wasn't what I "hated", although it was a seriously lame show, even the "critics" said it sucked.

He and the protester standing on the car is what got me. Do that to mine, there's an ass whuppin' comin' with it. But, supposedly it's his car. He can treat it whatever way he sees fit. Still stupid to cut up/stand/walk on one, though.

I don't like the look of anything modified on a TR. My GN is 100% bone stock (I just put a new set of Eagle GT tires on it). My Monte Carlo and T-Type have some driveline improvements. Other than that, they are 100% stock appearing. I've seen plenty of heavily modified TRs over the years, as we all have. Some I find to be completely fugly. However, it's their car. They can and should do what they think looks and works best for them. That doesn't make them stupid. They simply have different tastes. I try to be accepting and positive to all who own these cars. It has worked well for me.

Any passionate tried and true Turbo Regal enthusiast will find his way to this board at some point,

i haven't seen his name yet.

There's some good rap music. We don't hate it, at least I don't. Just quoting someone, am I a nazi also?

Im fully aware it was not a GNX, i said in my post it was a GN. Its really infuriating this insinuation that Grand Nationals are disposable and only GNX are worth preserving.

Like its ok to cut up a Grand National for a 15 minute half time show.
