I have a set of these that were redone by true design in 06-07. These wheels are bueatiful. Other than that they suck,I have 2 that have bent from regular driving...no curb checks, potholes etc. I had a local machine shop try to straighten it 3 time last year and after the 3rd return trip he says it will balance out just fine. Needless to say I did not go back.

The rim does not apper bent until it spins on the balancer and then its clear. Other that sending them back to true design are there any other options closer on the eastcoast?

I have a set of classic industries GTAs on my T and while they are not polished or powder coated like these they still are round and have 50-60k on them. And the wife daily drove them for years:)

Are the wheels that are cut and welded weaker than the cast wheels? I am thinking that maybe the issue.

I was gonna send them back to truedesign and get them widedened to 10's but after a few emails and pricing etc I decided I did not need wide wheels for a car that doesn't go to the track.

This just more of a rant than anything.

Thrusday I put a set of michelin pilots on the front and both tires road forced 4 and 8 both took alot a weight to balance out. This started my latest quest to get these fixed or gone.

6oz on one side,I did not spin it. I can try that next time I take it to work. Passenger car tires, esp Michelins rarely take that much....at least thishas been my experience.
