heres a run down

6 cylinder regal front springs
90/10 lakewoods
no front sway bar
boxed stock arms with polly bushings
atr rear bar

28/12.50 et streets

plenty of power and stall can leave at whatever boost I want but trying it on concrete with 13# in tires done small burnout big burn out and all and its blowing the tires off but hopeing it will hook at track ...MIR track usually hooks real good.

when I get my card what should I be looking for for 60ft with the way the car is setup and tires that are on it?

still havent figured out fueling problem and its lean in boost so I cant crank it up too hard but should be making my pass at 25# and looking to break the 130 trap speed :D

if you can get ET Streets to hook with any boost, I'll be surprised......the sidewall on 'em is just too stiff for hard launches....I usually run 1.7 60's on 'em and 1.4x on slicks, so you get the idea

wierd

my buddy's mote carlo ss is running 1.4's on 28/12.50 et streets and my buddy's 71 firebird runs 1.41 60's on same tires.

I was asking cause I know our cars are different launching than a v8 car

If they wont go better than 1.7's they are for sale come monday ..I'll buy some hoosier QTP's

well, every car is different.....for my car to launch well, I need to leave at 15-20 lbs boost.....et streets just don't cut it.....you may do better

"real" slicks will work better always!

(PITA to change tires at the track tho.......)

I was out today with my 26x11.5x16 ET Streets and,granted I have a GTA,I was getting 1.5's all day with a best of a 1.55 60ft.

They were hooking well enough to,on a few runs, get some air between the wheels and the ground :D though the suspension is unloading as the front comes down and breaks the tires loose - gotta work on that

HTH,
Steve

I hear ya. I'm ALWAYS the last freaken person to leave when they close the track. End up all dirty and sh!t.
OH well.

Red, I say mid 1.5's should be no problem. But, every car is different.

No Airbags?

I'd settle for 1.5's that would put me well in the 10's..:D

I dont know if i'll get any time trial passes that i can 60 ft it then back out if so i'll try different launches on it.

I was out late need to get some rest I'm heading out at 730 since its over 2 hour drive to track I'm going to.

I just come in from running a 340 cuda with 275 shot of nos on it...we made 2 passes from dead first time i spun pretty good and was side by side all the way then second time i hooked pretty hard and pulled him out the hole then i bouced off the limiter gooing to second and he made up his ground then going in third i picked up some knock and gave up.

I was at 23# boost with about 50/50 mix of 93 and 110 but i was on race chip and im sure it was getting warm under the hood doing two passes back to back like that.

I have faith its gonna run good today even with the problems i'm having with it..wish me luck ...later

Red, good luck today man! I hope you get that 10.xx timeslip. And I also hope I'm not too far behind you! Might have to try that turbo, what stall does it need to spool? Have fun, and again, good luck!

sad sad day :(

I've got the fuel pressure cranked to the moon and i cannot get it from leaning out in 3rd gear...Its leaning so bad feel like i let off the car and it burries my knock gauge

the car pulls like mad in second gear but thats about it

its rich as hell down thru first from having fuel pressure cranked up so it spits and sputters taking off then hauls azz for second gear then first part of third its pulling hard then it just goes from pulling hard with no knock and good 02's to full knock low 02's and falls on its face

well heres the run down

love this one...1.81 60 ft (sputtered to about 100 ft out)
it did manage to go 10.97 (hellova 2nd gear pull)

but fell flat on its face around the 1000 ft mark and went 125 mph :(

I have to figure this fuelling issue out before I hurt it

oh yea it was at 25# boost on that pass as you can tell my mph is way off from what it should have went and 60 ft plain sucked it rolled black smoke out the exaust till about 100 ft out

Congrats on the 10 second timeslip. Once you get that fueling issue taken care of you'll really be hauling a**!

-Banning.

Are you still running that single 340? Get a double pumper in there!
That must have been one HELLUVA 2nd gear pull:D

i hear ya x 2! i go through the same crap...but true slicks are great

Yeah... I feel your pain, Red! I feel REALLY bad when I come home with a 10 second timeslip! Wait... I have never even come close! Good job, Buddy! You'll get that fueling issue worked out and really be flying!

How much fuel presure were you running? Maybe you should turn your fuel pressure DOWN, to get more volume of fuel from the pump, and increase the fueling in the chip, like, the pulswidth of the injectors to get more fuel. You could have turned the pressure up too high and now the fuel pump cant pump as much volume at that pressure so your running short of fuel on the top end. just a thought. When i rebuild my engine, im goin with your setup, its just plain awesome. hehe.

We're All Pulling For You, Red!

Red,

AZGN's suggestions mirror mine...

Nothing more to add! Hope to see you at the track!

thanks guys ....

pressure yea it was up there..:D

58# base and 83# under boost..

the injector cycle is cranked in the chip too we tried that

I have 75# injectors in it now but its on factory feed line and single 340.

I'm on it now it will have a fuel system on it within the week i gotta see what it will run with fuel...

That must have been one HELLUVA 2nd gear pull

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT...:D

knock gauge does work I seen every light on it several times yesterday...

best part I drove it to track 2 1/2 hour trip ran 4 passes with knock gauge burried in high gear and drove it back home with no broke parts except my wallet...;)
