Brent, good seeing ya today. I don't think you'll have anymore rear end troubles.
Find the money, lets see that hot air in the tens.

good seeing you to. You get alot done today? That rearend is pretty nice. i think the drivers side eliminator is leaking so i might have to pull it and re-seal it later on. Also i need new lugs and im not sure what thread they are but im sure i can find out. anyways i can get the money for the XFI but i shouldnt. i mean if someone said if u put it on there your car will run a 10.99 i would do it today. LOL problem is im short timed. i get out in november so money will stop coming in. anyways im going to need to get a price from nick. humm what can i sale. humm 10.99 would be sick not sure if it will do it. not sure what a mid 11 stock ecm car picks up going from stock computer to XFI

damn you guys. now im sitting here thinking what can i sale. sure would be nice to have it for nov. atleast i would be able to run the 11.50 class and play with you boys

when are you planning on putting the rear in the car? depending on when i could swing down that way and give you a hand, lord knows ive had enough practice but i could always use more.

bert thanks for the offer. you should have came last night and today. its in but i need to call nick and get one part that was left on the old rear and not on the new one. its the piece that attaches the 2 brake cables together. the one for the E-Brake. its the little piece thats like 2 inches long and its straight with 2 little locking clip type deals. anyways here is a picture of the new rearend.

looks just like the one i put in my car a short time back, does it have aluminum drums? plan on doing the "big brakes" and "s-10 cylinders"?

buickbert

yup has alum drums. also no big breaks or wheel cyliders. the stock ones hold 20 psi for me so no need to do that.

specs ta cover, welded axel tubes,c-clip eleminators, 30 spline mosers, spool, 1/2 wheel studs, new bushings with zert fittings.

My experience with c clip eliminators has not been good. I only got them to seal for a short period of time. We tried with the Mosers over and over again and they continued to eventually leak and when they leak you will loose your rear brakes and the ability to spool up the car. The only way to end my pain was to cut the axle ends off and add a Chevy end housing that will accept a pressed axle bearing with a retainer plate and seal. I believe you can get the setup from Moser. Also this setup will easily accept a 11" backing plate for bigger brakes.

thanks. one side has a small leak that im going to have to fix but no big deal. the other side is nice and dry

The driver side is leaking due to putting it together and than having to pull it back apart for something when we changed gear set up a little silicone will fix it and it will not leak. Enjoy it, it is a stout rear end. Has seen 1.32 sixty foot times and no problems.

where does it normally leak. kinda looked like it was coming out of one of the bolts and also looked like it was coming out the front behind the elimanator it self. what should i do to fix it up?
