Tomarow morning @ 5:00am I have to be at the hospital for the 7th surgery on my anckle. They are doing a Anckle fusion and it's about a 4hr long surgery involving screws and other large words I can't pronounce!! and I will have a plaster cast on for 6.5wks and then it's 3-4 months recovery " YUK"!!

Well wish me luck! I should be back soon to let everyone know how things went.

Scot w.

Hope it works out for you. I may be getting some more surgery if my knee doesn't start coming around.
Good luck

Sorry to hear that..

If u need someone to drive ur car while ur laid up, I'll take it for a while ;) .

Good luck , i've had 16 of them all in a 3-1/2 year span. i know how you feel , just do as the doc says:smile:

Thanks guys! I will keep everyone posted as soon as I can get to my lap-top.

Brer rabbit your welcome drive it as long as you write a good check!!

Thanks for the kind words! After this surgery I should be pain free finally after 4yrs, it's my RT anckle and it Killed me when I raced, holding that pressure (trying to shove the gas peddle though the fire wall).:) and my walking gate should be very close to normal, so if all goes well i'm really looking forward to walking somewhat normal again.

I will reply soon! Scot w.

Everything is going well

Hi everyone Scot is doing good. This is Gina, Scots wife. Its nice to see all the support from everyone. Surgery took 3 hours and we were home by 1:00 pm. Scot is resting on the recliner. We are looking at at least 12 weeks with putting no weight on that foot. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks!!!!

Get well soon Scot, If you want I will come get your car and take it to Reynolds for the grudge race with Mellisa & Grumpy. I will let my son drive it as he will get you a good light, you may remember him from the last Buicks at Bristol. He was driving the black WS6 that was treeing everone. LOL :D

Just kidding, hope you are doing well.

Jim

You're in our prayers ! Where 2 or more agree..:D Praying also for painfree and speedy recovery ! ;)

hey leave me outta this :p now a REAL man would get off his butt and run down to Reynolds :p  enjoy your 12 weeks of hallucinating

Thanks for the call today Scot, it's good to see your back home and recovering. Soon you'll be mashing the pedal again. You have my number if you need me buddy, Nelly. :)

Oh man, sorry to hear about the ankle surgery:frown: , I had to have 2 pins put into a broken ankle after a motorcycle accident, and all I can say is listen to the DR! He told me to not put any weight on it for the entire 6 weeks it was in the cast....Well, that lasted 2 weeks before I had completely had it with people asking me what happend, so I started walking on it. When it came time for the cast to come off, they x-rayed it and found it had barely healed at all, so I got to wear another cast for 6 more weeks:mad: Yeah, I walked on it too. I feel for ya man! I'd rather have a broken arm any day over a foot/ankle/leg. Hope it heals up fast and your up and around quicker than expected.

I'm still alive!

Hi all, I want to say this is really nice coming on here to see all of this support, THANK YOU!! Well the 3hr surgery went quite well. I woke up this morning at 5:00am with my foot throbing like a cement mixer was parked on top of it! The pain was Crazy! I made a quick call to my doc for better pain meds and all is better! Now I can see aztech temples

Thanks again for all the support, it's greatly appreciated. Now iv'e got 12wks with NO weight on that foot at all..(sucks)...

Glad to hear all went well with the surgery.
Hate to hear you will miss Reynolds, but recovery is the best medicine.
You should be going by next year without fail!
