Hey Guys, Also replacing the intake gasket, The end seal is sliding out on the drivers side in the front and leaking some oil in the rear, Is there a good brand gasket to look for or is felpro fine? Thanks, Ryan

Just did this my self... Just use the felpro valley pan type/stock replacement. But DO NOT use the rubber end seals.

Instead, use "The Right Stuff" it comes in a squeeze cheese type can.

Clean up all mating surfaces on the head and intake.

Also, clean up the front a rear rails as well as the rail mating surfaces on the intake real well with brake clean or equiv...free of ALL grease/oil/etc.

I used a shop vac to get all of the crap that falls into the valley pan out.

Run a nice fat bead of Right Stuff across the rails and up in the corners where there is a small gap between the gasket and the rails.
Also put a smear around the water ports on the gasket.

As you are setting the intake down onto the motor, you will notice that the fuel line(s) will be close not giving much working room. I angled the rear of the intake up and eased under the lines while being careful not to hit the rtv bead and it was tedious but can be done.

Good time to check/clean/resecure all the ground wires on the back of the pass side head while doing this R&R.

Figured I would throw a few pointers out for future searches sake
Good luck

Forgot to add to spray down both sides of the intake gasket (ports)with copper coat spray gasket before installing

good advise mentioned above. We use the end seals and just put the "right Stuff" in the corners and have not had any problems with lots and lots of motors.

hope this helps.

So if Im understanding right. The valley pan gasket doesnt need manifold gaskets its part of it? Im new to buick engine stuff. I keep seeing both sets of intake gaskets those by themselfs and the valley pan gasket.
