Well, I've almost got all the parts needed for my 86/87 ECM conversion, and now I jsut need to get a chip. Any advice from thsoe who ahve done this before? Do any of the popular chip burners make a particularly good chip for the hotairs running the 86/87 style ECM and MAF? thanks in advance for any help!

chip

My car has always ran great with a Joe Lubrandt street chip (driveability and performance). I havent tried any of Eric Marshall's chips yet.

I use a Thrasher 92 octane with stock injectors.

My TurboTweak chip works well. Before that I used three different Red's chips. The Red's chips were ok, but I like the TurboTweak chip better.

Bryan C. I'm interested in learning more about your chip. What do you like about it and what did it cost? Do you run stock injectors?
Peter

Yes Peter, I do have stock injectors. The Turbotweak chips are $75. A nice feature is that you can adjust the timing and fueling in he chip. Compared to the Red's chip, I was getting some slight knock on the top end with the Red's chip and by just switching to the TT chip I noticed no loss in performance and no knock.
