Oh no....this isn't going to be another Southwestern section flame mail string, is it.

Can I go on the record and say....I strongly disagree with flame posts....no matter how offensive the target is perceived to be in the flamers eye's.

I dunno....I just think that stuff should be kept off the public forums. I'm confident that I'm not alone in this thought.

I'd prefer this was a fun, light humored, good natured jabbing and above all...informative...place to post and read up on things.

With that said...I'll go back to my nuetral corner, hush up and hope for the best.

in his defense he didnt get kicked out he was tired of the half ass work that was going on and simply walked out himself, after getting into the engine 2 times and having nothing to show cuz of the mistakes that the engine builder did (put a t/c tensioner on a roller timing chain, installed used piston rings on a freshly rehoned block) do you think he would stick around? would you stick around?lets get the facts straight

but I will say this; you CANT TRUST SOME VENDORS no matter how much you pay them. You can't trust anyone basically who is in the game for power or money (power as in mod's or admin's and money as in vendors). It seems theres less then a hand full of honest vendors out there who can clearly make their businesses work honestly and legitly. thats all for now ladies. I feel like having lunch by the ocean so I am off in my 50mpg football. I still say what my sig says; NO trust NO honesty NO sale. the truth isn't green and doesn't look like dollar signs. Godd luck to you jeff, just hope you dont decide to leave the Buick world as some have done because of this kind of BS. its just not like it was but that doesn't mean we can't make things better!

They're are some "people" who have exhausted/ pissed off the ENTIRE list of local vendors due to their own incompetence/issues and have now sourced out a competent board member to do the work. I hope this person does not get screwed the same way the MORE than accomodating vendors have been to this individual in the past. I'd be extremely cautious and pray there isn't a reoccurance of the same situation and ruin someone's credibility.

Ziggy how do you warranty stupidity? Personally I bent over backwards trying to please Harold,The last time was when he hauled his car over apart with half the engine in his trunk after he blew the head gaskets & couldn't figure out how to put it back together I put it all back & did that for a fair price & it ran great. The only thing he had to bitch about was I didn't clean his firewall good enough.Pulled the engine out,replaced the head gaskets & bearings saved his engine for 1,800.00 parts & labor. He also insulted me by posting that I tried to put his head gaskets on backwards. He didn't appreciate anything that I did for him but I bet he does now since he found out how patient & the friend I really tried to be.Stabbed me in the back repeatedly just read the threads dating back to 2004 at least. How the fawk do you justify this. He tried it with Sod & Archie & didn't get too far. Furthermore there is nothing unusual about reusing rings in a low mi. engine as long as you put them back in the same hole & after close inspection of the parts.. it's done all the time with race engines. What happened with his timing chain is unclear while using the tensioner isn't ness with a roller setup It shouldn't of caused a problem. Setting the thrust main clearance with a dead blow hammer also isn't an issue .I Do it all the time as long as you maintain end float of about .006. Where the Bogosian's blew it as well as myself is to let customers hang around while we work. Building engines takes total focus and customers hanging around criticizing isn't helpful. Are mistakes possible certainly. Do I pity Harold I think we all have. Certainly not the worst guy in the world but has a way of pissing off anyone that has tried to give him a break.When will he learn. I think he would agree if to do it all over again to just stick with a good running street car with about 450 H.P. would be his best bet. He's not capable of handling anymore. I think it would be nice for someone like Jeff to help him out but keep him on a short leash.The last comment I would like to make is I have grown to like Sod & Archie both & like myself they have their ways.You either accept them or move on.I hope someday they put their difference's behind & start getting along. Life's too short.

So if I walk into your shop and drop well over 3k in work drive off your lot and for some odd reason something gives out that YOU just replaced its my fault?? I would understand if he did the work and nothing was coming along right but he took it to a very reputible shop and still has nothing to show for and then gets kicked out for being a a$$hole...come lets get real here you
