Who makes it? GMP? Jada? I see 1/18th scale GMPs on eBay closing around $60-$80

I would say WAY to much, I was at Carsile as I am every year and the prices on the die-cast is crazy! One lady wanted $25 for a JL Muscle car collection GN! You could find the same car from another vendor for $8. You need to check out all the vendors at Carsile to get the best deal. I picked up a 1:18 scale Dub City GN I needed for $35 when the same car at another stand was $60. Some vendors are on a pipe dream. I understand the name of the game is to make some money, Nothing wrong with that but it's just down right wrong to put crazy prices on things like some vendors do. It's just crazy in my book........

I've seen them go for $100 to $130 range, and then you need to pay for shipping, sometimes duty charges, and taxes...please remember it is 1 of 5196 made so you are now the proud owner of a quality GMP 1986 GN diecast.

The 1986 GN diecast is very popular and I would not wory about spending a few extra bucks to have something you really wanted...after all we do the same for our actual GN cars....don't we !!!

Deal or no deal.

I checked all the die cast vendors there.. Some say maybe home or they didnt have it. And buying diecasts from Evil Bay can be tricky.. I purchased a GNX 1/18 and it wasnt what it was susposed to be. I did ask another vendor there and he told me if I found one for under 150 that it was a deal. I dont care that much bc I have an 86 and to have the diecast as well is col for me. Deal or no deal its all good. but on another note i picked up a used poster (the same one in the other thread) for about 10$ that was in ok condition.. To top it off a tire fell on a turn and broke the glass.. The toys are just like my 86, a pain to get anything done or in good condition.

You did just fine, I paid 100 for mine, plus shipping. I wanted an '86 so I paid for it. You were able to see and purchase yours first hand. We went through 3 1/24 scale '87 GNs before we got one that wasn't crunched or broken. As mentioned before, if I want it, have the money I will purchase it. I've been at several meets looking for the best deal passing up good parts in hope to find something cheaper only to get burned in the end because I should have purchased the parts from the first vendor I could deal with....Again, you did just fine. I believe the '86 GN 1/18 scale was one of GMPs first....
