Good 1st article but not very scientific when compared to GM high-tech. I was sceptical of the Honda's results since there was no mention of flushing between trials. Who's to say what the actual dilution was by the time they got to the last trial.
I use Water Wetter/AF. Seemed like about a 10* average drop. I've never been a believer in magic elixer marketing but this was a happy surprise.
BTW- the GM top engine cleaner pictured in the GM article IS the shiznik. I think it was Saturns of the early 90's for which there was a TSB regarding high oil consumption due to carbon build up in the ring grooves. Poured this in spark holes, left overnight and voila! much less oil usage. Of course that was in a vertically oriented cylinder. How much will it take to cover the piston in a V engine.
