Goodyear gatorbacks that were on the GNX's?

I currently have some GNX spec'd wheels from Mario {15/23} with BF Goodrich tires,{245-50/255-50}. They seem just by eyeballing, much thinner than the Gatorbacks once offered. Is it just my eyes or did Goodyear have a wider footprint on the same size tire?

I run the same set up , I know what you are referring to as far as being thinner. I think it may be the aggressive tread
pattern of BF Goodrich, but have to say the BF Goodrich is one hell of a tire.

The original Gatorbacks had a very squared off outer edge of the tread, vs. the BFG's rounded tread to sidewall transition. It did make them look very wide.

Unfortunately that size is very limited to who makes it any more. I am looking though.
