Leaving the Panera Bread cruise Saturday nite and decided to abuse the gas pedal a bit. Just a short burst but definetly not a legal start. Was pretty please with myself and slowed down. Then I see the black and white coming up in the lane next to me.
Why he didn't pull me over I will never understand. Thank you officer whoever you are.
Last actual ticket I got was doing a nitrous run past the resident state trooper in Killingworth CT. Podunk little town with just a Barney Fife and he just happened to be on duty that day. That was back in the mid 80's.
That was in my 66 Chevelle before I tubbed it. 427 big block with tunnel ram.
Last time pulled over was a few years back transporting my Father in laws ashes up to Maine. Was taking a side trip thru the White mountains and a state cop coming from the other direction did a u-turn and hit the lights and siren. Asked me why I was going so fast and I blurted out that the scenery was so nice that I was a bit distracted. He told me to slow down and I would be able to appreciate it more.
No ticket.
