Hello,
My name is Travis Bell - as many of your know, the gang at Warner Brothers are currently remaking the Dukes of Hazzard. I have been helping them locate the correct wheels for the remake and we are currently looking for Buick T Type / Grand National Wheels. We are looking for them in ANY condition or combination. We are a where that the Buick lug pattern does not jive with the Dodge - we will be using adapter plates. We are looking for singles, doubles, sets, or piles of these wheels. Please drop me a line if you have any extra Buick 10 Spoke (Fin/Rib) Vector Style (Modern) wheels.

No clue how or why they emailed me. They sent it to a WAYYY old Hotmail account that I check every 30 days just so it doesn't get turned off. I haven't given that address out in years.

A few years ago I received, by regular mail, a similar letter, stating to the effect "we're a motion picture company, we will soon be filming a major motion picture in Utah's west desert (yeah, right), and we need several older motorhomes for this movie. Utah vehicle records show you own, or used to own, an older motorhome, if you would be interested in allowing us to use it, we would like to see if it's suitable for our purposes", yada yada....

I didn't give it much thought at the time, I didn't figure a movie filmed in Utah's desert area would much of a "major" motion picture...I threw the letter away

Anyone care to guess what movie it was?


This guy probably found info on peoples TR webpages and is just going thru the e-mail addresses he found!
