how old are the valve springs, origninal?
Yes I believe so. Probably should get to replacing them. Ill do it once I get back from Montreal this weekend.

Just wondering if anyone has the valve spring height tool so I can shim them properly. Anyone mind me borrowing it?

I'm not sure 55 to 90 is a much of a race....That much boost is not gonna get it done unless you have a well built stroker or stage motor....You will certainly be able to keep it together and not blow head gaskets, but you better leave the racing for others at that boost level ;).......

Shall happen very sooon. Just got the valve seals replaced, intake gasket replaced all because my car started to smoke at idle but not under acceleration. Got the valve springs changed to 980's. Now just need to get the 3 bar map to work with the powerlogger and put in the wideband.

Eff the race gas, that's too expensive to be cruising on and it's a dead give away when your car is running. You can smell that a mile away. Get in contact with Julio and get yourself a alky kit. Tune it for 22 to 24 psi and the next time you line it up with your buddy on the roll, it would be a completely different story.
