Some of you might remember me having a thread about putting an intake on. Well, we got everything togehter, but now for some reason we are haveing a fuel injector that is just pooring fuel down from the top. Do you guys think this would just be an o ring issue, or do you think there is a way to get the injector to scoot up a little without taking off the turbo??? PLEASE help. I really dont want to take the turbo back off for this.

Also, if i do get new o rings, where can i get them from?

Are you sure the wires are not shorted together, or grounding out on the intake????

well, yeah. It is running smooth. At first we didnt notice it, and we fired it up, and were like ok, its running good and smooth. Then we went to rev it up, but it was revving up half way. THen we noticed the fuel coming out. It has to be an o ring. Just curious if anyone knows any tricks to get it to seal with the turbo still on there.

Yea, those O-rings are a pain sometimes, just have to be very careful. you should have enough room to work the fuel rail loose without having to move the turbo.

Glad to hear you got it running though and cant wait for you to tell me how its running.

Matt

Thatnks 85, i think im gonna get some orings, and new rings or whatever they are for the pipes th atcome up to the fuel rail. THey looked kind of rotten, but theyre still sealed. But, better off just getting new.

lube up the o rings with a bit of oil or something first before reinstall

Well, i actually sprayed a little bit of.........i cant remember what its called. It was a blue can with a popular name that is a lubricant and penetrator combined. I THINK i found the reason why theyre leaking. Some of the clips are the wrong ones and arent holding them up there solidly. There is maybe a 1/16th of an inch cap between the botton of the rail part, and the lip on the injector. When i took a good clip off of another it kind of let go and fell that 1/16th of an inch. So, i think thats the prob. WHen the car starts there is just a jet of gas flowing out of the top of the injector.

Where can i get some of these clips at, because autozone and advance doesnc have them?

You are probably going to have to get those from the junkyard, or maybe a GM dealer might have them.

Don't worry about the clips. The leak is a bad O ring. Use vasoline when installing new O rings. The clips have nothing to do with the seal.

Yeup, you were completely right. They were screwed beyond belief. Everything is up and running, but now i have a NASTY sputtering problem in the upper rpms. I have the thrasher 92 chip that matt sold me, and im wondering if something with timing might be causing this. You can hear the turbo spooling, but it is just slow as crap. Any thoughts here?
