Well, i got a huge bee hive in the cupboard that is attached to the house, called the be bee removing company and they want $300.00 freaking dollars to come get rid of them, I want to get this done myself, how do you go about removing bee hives without putting yourself in danger(i am not allergic to be stings), I dont care much about this critters so thier wellfare is the least of my concerns. thanks in advance for your responses..

Had this problem last year. We got a hose end sprayer and attached it to a pole [conduit] over 10' long. In the evening when the bees were home, we sprayed the hive with a water soluable insecticide. Next couple days we used soap to flood the hive and bees flying around it.

When all activity ceased, hive was removed and have not seen a bee since. I had no worry about getting stung, as my neighbor was holding the pole!:)

You need to wait till its dark, have 2 people with 2 cans each of wasp\hornet spray that sprays about 10', and just hit them with all you got:D

yea Nick who gave you that idea? :D

yes soap works very well it sufficates them and makes them to heavy to fly!

cut

My neighbor had this problem and he got a outside big garbage can , put oil soaked rags and newspaper in it and lit the rags and his buddy held the garbage can up under hive while he used a long tree pruner to cut the hive and it fell in the can.....put it on the street and they were gone in the morning. This was done after the sun went down ....No bees came out of the hive :)

I have used brake cleaner many times and it works great (without the flames). Or at least it did for me. Wasp, yellow jackets, and honey bees also. Hope they aren't Africanized bees though. They have really bad attitudes towards anyone trying to harm them. Mark

As long as you wait until it's dark out, you can get away with almost anything, and they won't be able to mount any counterstrike. I personally like the spray cans that shoot a good length. I've seen cans that say 30', but I've never been that lucky with the range. Lay it on thick, like you mean it. They would certainly not send just one bee out to get you, so you are justified in hittin' them with everything you got. Good Luck!!!

This was after the day they picked it up.....all the Bees just abandoned ship , it was a hornet's nest and no dead bees inside . Thought the oil fumes would have done them in...

I dealt with wasps this way. They had built a nest in the pillar between my two garage doors. I waited until dusk and stood right next to the entrance. Shot some expanding foam into the entrance during the day light. When they go in they immediately come out again confused, they aren't angry and don't assume I am the problem. I just stand there with my shop vac running and suck them up as they come back out. Its pretty funny, if you leave them alone they go in and out several times trying to figure out what is wrong. Just step forward suck them up. I took 45 minutes and got them all as they returned for the night. Plugged the suction hose into the blower side to seal it up and waited a day before opening it up. I got about 100 wasps in 2's and 3's.

I have issues with bugs  . In the summertime I keep one of those 1 gal. little shop vacs around if going in and out at night. Will get all these bugs flying around the lights in the house at night.

I suck the little bastards up :D . Makes me sleep better :p .

Man, if you'll fly me out there, I'll do it for free. I hate them bastards. I'll figure out the most elaborate death scheme possible, that way its more fun. The garden hose idea might work, but it does not sound fun. I like the spray, but it runs out fast, so you may find yourself un armed. Oh the possibilities. Go out there, knock it off with a bat, then run inside. Wait for them to go away, then go back out and place a trash can over it. Then drill a little hole in the can and drop in some M80's. This will not kill them, but makes you feel good. Maybe after that you can just pour some gasoline in there and light it. the idea is to teach them a lesson. Make an example out of them. This scares other bugs off. :D Not really, but once again, you'll feel better.

If you fly me over there, I'm not responsible for any damage to your property, but I guarantee they will be gone. Of course, the rest of the house might be gone too, but thats someone elses problem.:D

LMAO this is some funny S***, where you abused as a child. :) thanks for all the ideas i am in the process of implementing some of them myself as we speak.

No, never abused. In fact I've only been stung once. I just hate bugs. I hate when they buzz by you and you gotta duck or swat at 'em. Its like they are all cocky cuz they got a stinger. F that, I kill them all. I got attacked by a bunch of wasps one day at work, I was in their nest area. I had to be there, so I grabbed a board and started swingin'. I killed a bunch, never got stung. I whacked 'em with my board till they were gone. It was sooo satisfying to feel and hear them hit that board, then when they were down, STOMP!! I would have executed them with a more elaborate plan, but the conditions didn't afford me the time to do it. Had to go with ol' trust size 13 boot. Creative, no. Effective, yes. One time me and my buddy strapped a big roach to a M80. It lived! I was amazed. Then I stomped it. But later we strapped one to bottle rocket. That was cool.

Poor little bugs didn't stand a chance:( ;) :D

In my Youth I worked for the Tree dept in my home town.
We got calls to remove nests from public trees.

The guys i worked with doused it with an accelerant & torched it.

I would not try that method on you house:D

Raid makes some good stuff for them.

Get two cans and go for it. You can shoot them from 10 to 12 feet away.

Make sure you have an escape route laid out before you start to spray them
