gov in tranny

how can you tell when your gov.. in tranny goes out what are some of the things it will affect. why I ask is my 86 tranny rebuilt with 3200 stall convert it acts like im trying to leave with park brake on but well going fine and speed is not showing up on dash checked cable good.

A defective governor will cause really late or really early shifts.
