gov???

recently my trans does not want to shift at wot.only sometimes.i pulled the pan and the spring is still on the gov and everything looked ok.what else do i need to look for?

Maybe a stuck TV valve.

how do you check the tv,i pulled the cable off the mounting bracket and it seems ok.

i put a set screw in the spring in the gov.made it shift but now it shifts too early.what next?

Drill a couple of 1/8 in. holes in the weight to remove the same amount of weight you added with the screw.

i'll do that.why does putting a screw in there help it when the spring was still there?

does the gov. only suppose to have 1 spring?
