Hello Forum members. I'm currently in need of a MAF sensor for my 87GN. I've seen a lot of post regarding LT/LS units with a translator. My question is...has anyone tried or currently using a Granatelli grn350110 unit and what's their take on it. I'd rather use a stock replacement because it's simple but, there's none to be had new and the Granatelli appears the closest to a stock unit. All that's available are rebuilt GM units and I've gone this route already with it only being operated for less 1 hr in a year and a half. My scanmaster reads AF09...I reseated the connecter and cleaned the sensor with CRC sensor clean. It now fluctuates 05-06..still bad. Any suggestions or recommendations on the aforemention would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!! Nick Eustaquio

I personally wouldn't use a Granatelli mass air flow sensor on a GN, I never heard anything good when someone has tried it.

Kirban Performance has rebuilt original AC Delco maf sensors at a pretty good price and they offer a $25.00 credit if you send them your stock GN original AC delco maf sensor.

Click on catalog then click on engine parts and it's on the third page in the following link.

Or if you want to spend more money and upgrade you could get a maf translator and use the newer style LT1 or LS1 maf sensors.

Or you could get a maft translator pro and not have to use a maf sensor at all if you want to spend a little more money, sometimes you can find these for sale used and save a little.

Just convert to an LS1/LT1, or Z06 style and be done with it. Both are good units. Rebuilts suck and I have NEVER heard anything good about granite-telli... :)

Thanks folks for all the inputs. Just got to figure out which way to go. Definitely no rebuilts. Thanks!!! Nick Eustaquio

i know when my maf takes the dump, i will be going to the ls1 with translator.....
