Yes ! I have many nephews & they all seem to own broken Buick's, Fortunately Andrew exersized some common sense & shut his engine off before much damage was done. He will escape this time with only a set of bearings & gaskets. This is all part of the pride of Buick ownership .His penance shall not be monetary but far worst. He will have to endure my wrath & abuse in exchange for my services. Cruzn57 will also be taking be taking turns on his innocence as he as he unselfishly dedicated his entire day & trailer to the cause. Regards Lou

your family ( nephews, cousins, children, and assorted sheep) is grateful for your kind heart, and vast knowledge!
while visiting ole "dad" the phone rang relentlessly with questions from a puzzled sole in Georgia, seeking help, I'm sure this is a common occurance.
And he (Lou) still finds time to help all the rest of us, and advise us on the dumb ideas we have, (or in my case the brilliant brain farts) ( what D ya mean I can't run 40 lbs boost??)
My point......... we have it pretty good, we have close by, a real Buick "Expert" and he's willing to put up with our constant search for more horse power, and ever continous complaint of "I ain't got no more money"
I know there are others who give to our community too ! But I just wanted to let the ole sheep herder know, WE DO APPRECIATE YOU!.

Yeah so far so good with the motor. Just a set of mains and some gaskets like Lou said. The motor will be done much sooner than the Trans.

Thanks for the kind words Lee! I do spend a lot of time helping people.Yes sometimes I charge. But I never turn my back on good people in need. I have many years of experience & am very passionate about my work & what people think. I have empathy for those struggling to keep their cars going. I have walked in their shoes many times & made all the same mistakes. Racing & building cars isn't that much of a challange to me anymore. I now enjoy watching & helping others going through where I have been. Yeah! what good are we if we can't give a little back along the way.
