Excellent stay in Dallas this time around, got to see 5 really nice TTA's and meet some great new faces and put a face to the name of several great people on this board and turbotransam.com for the first time!

Got to ride in a DeLorean for the first time as well, thanks Chris !!!

Have a brand new torque converter in my suitecase (damn that thing is heavy - 40lbs ... will be interesting when I check in tomorrow at the airport). Ceramic coated headers, downpipe and x-over (brought them with me and handed them over to Mike @ Specialized Performance Coating in Arlington, thanks for the recommendation Rob, will post pictures of them and let you all know how they turned out). ARP header bolts and some other ARP bolts I need ... forgot a skateboard for my son as well ...

Will post some photos when I'm back home

That should be a good test for Homeland Security  :D

Glad you had a good time here. It's was nice meeting you.

Very nice meeting you Jan. Be sure to let us all know the next time you are here so we can plan something else. If its summer time again, maybe we can all hop on my ski boat and cruise around the lake or park at the island and have a few cold beers Texas style with water up to your neck to stay cool. FYI, I think that was Maston that recommended the coating place to you.

I'm betting they don't let the TC on board with carry on...heck its going to be very difficult to even x-ray the thing to see whats in it, may have to ship it back.
Cheers

Sorry Maston got a brain fart, or maybe it's just age :-) Anyway, parts turned up great. Picked them up from Mike yesterday on my way to the airport so worked out fine, highly recommended if anyone needs their headers (or anything else) coated. Very nice guy to deal with.

Attached a photo of all the parts I had coated (inside and out). My THDP was not stainless for some reason, the flex bit was so rusted so I cut it off and will have a company in the UK do a new flex bit with the correct ends and bends so I can connect it to my dp like the stock dp parts.

Stuck the box with the TC in my suitecase, and funny enough back home opening it up the box was covered with US Department of Home Land Security tape and a note that they been looking inside my suitecase :-)

Important thing is I got it back to the UK ... saved me tons of $$$$ in shipping and import taxes
