Lizzy Hale-Halestorm
Grace Perry-Landmine Marathon
Maria Brink-In This Moment <-------(Hott!!)
Nadja Peulen-Coal Chamber
Anna K -Opiate for the Masses
Definitely Cristina Scabbia-Lacuna Coil. Wow.

When Revolver came out with the Hottest Chicks in Metal issue, you better believe I grabbed the first copy I could find.

Started with Ann & Nancy of Heart in the 70's. Then Joan Jett of the 80's. Followed by Pat Benetar of the 80"s also. Didn't learn about Patti Smyth of Scandal and Lita Ford until several years ago. Of these, my favorite is Pat Benetar but love all these female rocker's music.

Don't forget Linda Ronstadt who probably has the best overall voice out of the bunch for a lefty whacko anyway.

Mostly pop, country, crossover, but a few rockers I think. ;)

Gotta love Pat Benatar and she can still sing.

Then there's Ashley Ellyllon from "Cradle of Filth".

And one of my favorites from the late 70's past Southern Rock craze, Dale Krantz of the Rossington-Collins Band.

Benatar ... great voice, great career, she has class... been married to Neil for like 25 years. Still tours and rocks !!

I didn't know it but Joan Jett is heavily involved with USO shows around the world for our troops. That is some kewl sh!t right there.

that evervecence chick is hot

lita ford though with ozzy was one i can remember back in the day. there are tons of lipstick chicks these days who can sing or so we think they can and still look good. but 80's patti smyth, and lita ford would be my choice. wasn't into vixen too much but saw the tape or cd back then and they looked like most of the dudes back then who rocked out. sometimes it was hard to tell if it was a dude or chick until they started singing. Let me repeat i said SOMETIMES it was hard to tell, some of the way rocker dressed back then would make you wonder if they were playing for the other team. not that it's a bad thing but not that's not my team.

ok...Here we go...:D

1st off...I remember watching MTV and seeing The Bangles,Holy Chit...4 Hot Chicks...

MTV had some good videos with them,But here is a link to a live performance in 86... YouTube - The Bangles Walk Like An Egyptian

Now...If you want to talk about best voice of the 80's,90's..Or whatever...I can only think of 1 person that really stands out.Natalie Merchant of 10,000 Maniacs.Maybe not a Rocker...But none the less...

Alot of people have never even heard of her,she didnt play the slut,And was overshadowed by the likes of Madonna and such.

But,If you want to talk about a Incredible Musical Talent,(Singer, songwriter,Musician)She is in the lead hands down in my opinion. Also,Does tons of Charity work,There are video's with her singing with The Perkins Secondary School Chorus,At the Perkins School for the Blind..They are very touching,Especially if you have anyone with any Disabilities close to you.

Here are a few live vids,She sounds the same live as in any video....Enjoy..

Trouble Me... YouTube - 10000 Maniacs (Natalie Merchant) Trouble Me Live on US TV

President Clinton's inaugural ball performance...;) YouTube - 10,000 Maniacs and Natalie Merchant

Carnival... YouTube - Natalie Merchant - Carnival - lyrics - Beautifully Live ! 1999 - TigerLily

A little live "Jealousy" YouTube - Natalie Merchant - "Jealousy" Live

Around the time this song was released,My buddy Had a Daughter,Born Premature,I dont remember exactly how early,But they basically gave her zero chance to survive,

The last line of this song was tattooed on his arm... With love, with patience and with faith,She'll make her way..

She is now a perfectly healthy, happy teenager...:)

Wonder... YouTube - Natalie Merchant - "Wonder" Live 1995

This song still reminds me of that time,And Im Happy about how it all turned out.

Anyone with a disabled one close to them should definitely be able to relate to this song.

Sorry to Ramble on...;)

As much as I thought Natalie Had a awesome voice,My music of choice at the time was Floyd,The Doors,Priest,Zeppelin,Ac/Dc...Van Halen,Ozzy(maiden),And so on.

Nothing like a little "Run to the Hills"To get you going..

My musical taste varies greatly,From some of the stuff my 8yr old Daughter listens to on the radio(even though I will never admit it) To Tool! And everything in between!

But then again I'm a sucker for girls who are inked and pierced.

I'm dating myself here, but I saw Joan Jett and Lita Ford at a local dive here in Houston way back in 1977 when they were 16 or 17. They were in their first band called the Runaways, an all chick band. Not too adept musically, but Joan was way hot. She was kinda blond then. YouTube - The Runaways - Cherry Bomb

That's when they were HOT.
BTW there's a movie coming of the Runaways this year.

VIXEN, there it is I said it!

When I was in High School, the lead singer called my house...she went to high school with my step mother at the time. She asked me about different bands at the time and what I was into and mentioned her name but it didn't register until my step mother told me after she got off the phone. When she went to her high school reunion she sang a capella and was very good, have it on a VCR tape somewhere. I heard she's a dental assistant in CO now or something like that.

I was always fond of Susanna Hoffs from the Bangles and time has been really good to her.

Emma Russack is an Australian singer/songwriter who has done some amazing covers on Youtube. Her rendition of Black Sabbaths Planet Caravan is the song I want played at my funeral, it's beautiful.
