Just noticed last night while on an on ramp, I'm getting a growling noise from the front of the car when turning at any speed. Straighten up and it goes away.
Thinking that a wheel bearing is getting ready to take a crap, anyone confirm my suspicion? Never had one die before so I want to make sure I know what I'm hearing...
Thanks,
Jon

Sounds like it could be a wheel bearing––jack it up and try to move the wheel/tire side to side, if the bearings are cold you will have a little movement, not so much if they're warm. But a pronounced looseness means you're in trouble––I just had one go out on me on the Garden State Parkway at 75––not a nice experience.

Possibly the power steering pump? The high pressure line on mine was crimped and it would growl/groan when warmed up and turning. Check to see if the fluid is bubbly.

It only does it when I turn left, and going pretty good.
I'll jack it up tonight.
Strikeeagle-nope, haven't seen your dog, what's it look like ;)

my car does this too but i just had both bearings replaced. i would definateely check the bearings b/c mine blew apart and i heard a rattling sound from the wheel while driving and when the wheel was removed i had to pick all the little bearings outta there. the guy said i almost ruined my spindles.

Look for rubbing in the wheelhouse. Sometimes alignment problems will show up with a rub on a hard turn just on one side. Tire rubbing on a plastic wheelhouse would sound like a growl no doubt.
