Cool article with one typo,Scott put jack cotton brought his car for TSO competition but i believe he only runs quick 16 now.:confused:

I think what he meant to say was that Jack brought his car to BG to run TSO but based on how the competition was running jack would have had to "turned it up" with 300 + passes on the motor that may have been the reason he chose to run quick 16 jmho.

Not sure if it's true or not, but I was told he hurt the motor real bad at a track outing after BG trying to get it in the sweet spot. Something about the tune up was off from the turbo change a little bit... :frown: Hopefully he got it sorted out now, I expect his combo should be capable of 8.teens at about 28psi, so he doesn't have too much to go on the boost controller from what I heard to get it in the game IMHO. You could always count on Jack for participation. Not sure what happened the last couple years though.... :confused:
 
My guess would be stuff like this is the reason he doesn't run in the class...

Since Louie is a native of Florida where alligators roam, he developed the classic alligator hand/arm disease.....his arms can't reach his pockets for his wallet. And he somehow manages to reach for his wallet, the cob webs will be all over the inside. Once he opens the wallet, George Washington will be rubbing his eyes to clear the eye crud. :tongue:

Maybe...... but my guess is because of 8.86@157 VS 8.41@164 8.28@167
8.24@172 and 7.97@175 but in all fairness Jack did upgrade to the Precision 47/88 !! yes Precision not Turbonetics!!!! same turbo Dave F has run 172 mph with, so now... with the new turbo and a fresh motor :eek: stay Tuned

Good post. Pretty much sums it up. My opinion is the 7.97 and 172 MPH probably is written off because of the heads, but I think if somebody with the small heads steps up and turns it up where it needs to be we will will all be surprised because I think these little heads are not done at 8.28 (who would have thought?), Jack is sitting in the perfect spot with a fresh bullet, PTC converter and a bigger turbo (Precision ;) ), than all the other small headed guys so he just might be "DA MAN" again if he turns it up to 30-31 psi and I'll be chasing him down like the old days. I don't see a problem here.
 
It would be nice to see Jack back in action it is a shame we keep loosing racers. It doesn't look like we will see anyone from the Anderson camp either. I know Jack blames me for the direction the class has taken but this is still the same basic class it was 5 years ago with the advent of the Y2k and 4788 turbos and before the point series. IMO the performance levels of this class are mostly due advances in turbos and other parts. The fact that the class hasn't had any significant rule changes in the last 5 years has allowed racers to continue to push that technology and ultimately go faster. Wish more Buick racers where interested in going fast, seems stage 2 motors 88mm turbos aren't that popular anymore:confused:

I still am,i they still are. I think its more what it cost to play at this level that scares most people away.

True but you still see TSM racers with glass blocks and bigger budgets than most TSO racers.

I would consider an AMG trade:eek:
