I am trying to have my car a street/strip car... probably more of a street car for now. Which would be the better turbo to go with for that application?

Most will say a TE-60 should be the biggest turbo for a street car. I used to run that but have since stepped up to a TE-63-1. I haven't tested it yet due to the fact that my engine hasn't been put back in yet. I expect it to perform very well even with my almost stock convertor. The lag it gives should aid in traction when running off a light.

The TE45A has a new 67mm GT series compressor wheel in it now instead of the older 66mm wheel that was used previously. John hasn't advertised this much because he doesn't want to confuse anybody. Basically, it means it is the same thing as the PT67 except it is still made with the big shaft. Probably too big of a turbo for a "street car" but it depends on how you drive it.

I had a lot of fun with my car with the PTE52 on the street. That is pretty much a TE60. IMHO, anything over a TE61/PT54 is too big to be enjoyable on the street. Even turbo's of that size are going to cause nothing but tire smoke when you lay into it.

my car has a 67 in it with a 3200 precision and its fine. once it gets a flowing watch out. :D i drive my car about 100 miles a week...usually just on the weekends...
