WHAT

My Dad and I are flying over to Phoenix and driving it back to Cali.

I guess he got tired of his old TTA kicking the $hit out of his 96 LT4 Vette.

Its an 07 Z with the 1LZ package (base model = no added weight ;) ).

I will soon see if the car meets all the hype, so far from what I've read, I don't think I will be disappointed, that is until we line up at a light.

Anybody got some champion heads for sale ? cheap ?? ;)

Will be interesting....

If being shiney helps much, that black car should do very well :)

In its day, the TTA stood head and shoulders above the competition. It Stayed there for years and years. Now, the manufacurers have thrown their hats into the ring again and it seems an all out war for bragging rights.

P.S. I apologize for moving your thread to the lounge....I did it. Its not what I intended to do....Do not have the 'Power' to move it back to the TTA forum. We'll get by.

Yeh, I remember. My father bought the TTA new 2 days after my 17th birthday. My mother used it as a daily, we raced the piss out of it on the weekends. Don't recall loosing to much, especially fuel injected.

No apologies necessary Lee.

My dad works at a Chevy Dealer in Dallas/FW area and I'm sure he has melted the tires of one by now :D When he was here, he and another sales men would race down the access roads after work in the Vettes and "override" the traction controls :P

Well got it back, lucky me, the old man was pretty tired on the way back
so I drove most of the way. Car for factory stock is amazing. Pulls like a freight train, 50-120 mph is blur. Here are some pics

I guess you're gonna reconsider pulling up to it at a light? ;) The LS7 Z's are the ultimate car in my book. Unbeatable factory performance.

Mod #1 was already done on the way home.

Pulled the 10 amp fuse to the muffler bypass system. Leaves
them in bypass all the time (normally opens above 3500 rpm) little
more low end grunt ;)

Might put on the Halltech filter and do the LS2 edit mail order tune.
Yields another 20+ rwhp. But I doubt that will happen, pops is 71 yrs old, he prolly doesn't need anymore HP.

Can you explain how the muffler thing works. Is it like open cutout?

Compare the pull to other cars as GN and TTA please.

We have that sort of solid consistant pull from the time we make boost all the way through the power band, talking about a decent bolt on car.

ZO6 pulls harder the higher the rpms go. Just as any dyno graph of them will indicate. (generally any LS6 as well)

From a roll its a monster, 125-127 mph bone stock trap speed, enough said.

Somewhat.

Valve opens up at 3500 rpm and above making the mufflers "flow through"
essentially bypassing the chamber, yet still exiting the exhuast tips.

I bought a 07 last night. Only had a few miles in the dark. This car needs slicks!
