Another update:

Just wanted to tell everyone how well this unit is doing!

Recently experimented most of an afternoon making gradual incremental increases in boost to gently find where detonation would begin with the new turbo.

During these adjustments, we clearly saw you can make precise half-pound changes in boost levels, with NO subsequent increases/decreases/"creep" of any kind.

That's a very minute and highly accurate adjustment, which remains precisely where it is set.

MUCH better way to go than adjusting a WG rod, or a bleeder valve! :)

How is this different than the quick spool boost controllers that are a fraction of the cost?

Tell us more about the build-up on the car so we can see how it relates the performance of the boost controller to the other products being used on the car.

Jon,

We got ours after a local TR bud got one to replace a failing electronic unit, & was really impressed with it.

Did you run yours into the interior?

Hey Jon,

Maybe you could answer a question since Two Lane seems to ignore me like I don't exist. Do you install the hallman piece between the "Y" and the actuator and use a bleed valve too or what. How does it install exactly??

Thanks in advance

Steve

Curious about this too.
Does it matter if you have an external 'gate? I would like a simple control for inside the cabin.

BB,

Works on both integral & external gates.

No prob running it into cabin. :)

Look at the bottom of the first post in this thread where it says:

Click that. Find "Files" at top of homepage. Click that.

Download the PDF Installation Instructions. (Piece o'cake!)

I'm currently running a Thrasher chip that rolls back the boost in second gear, etc. With a manual boost controller am I correct in assuming you get the same boost level in each gear? I've read so often that you want to run less boost in higher gears because of the load on the engine. How do you deal with that? Or is that a myth? It would be nice to be able to adjust the boost level with a turn of the knob.

For that kind of money, I'd be getting an BstC. Scalable boost in the higher gears, tps activation, in cockpit control, etc etc. One of the best mods I've ever done for my car.

that a dig at my times? pump gas sucks. so does inexperience. that was the first run I'd ever made on any car. I'll be faster soon, trust me ;)

No that wasn't towards you at all, I just kinda stole your words. We were all having problems at one time, and without the help of others... well you know.

It was more of an inside joke among a couple of us.
