Oh cool,

I get to be the first thread starter and wish all Americans a happy and safe Independence Day. Fire up those BBQs, and cook up some of the recipe's posted here recently.

Marylanders, eat plenty of crabs and drink gallons of beer. Just don't drive the TRs or any other cars afterwards.

Sux I can't be there for the fourth, but my flag flies proudly off of my balcony here.

Just be careful this weekend, I'm sure the police will have their radar guns aimed and ready to snag a TR or two.

We got to fly a flag for the first time since we got here... So instead of flying 1, we flew 51 Had to throw in the state flags to just for spite.

I'll be driving south in a few hours to hang out and celebrate with some 'Muricun friends in Grand Forks, should be great! I always take the week of July 1st and 4th off for Canada Day and Independence Day. It's like a week-long party for me!

...exept Jim. He still depends on his wife to get him dressed in the morning! And Jim, I don't think cars are meant to suck but maybe you see somthing in them or get something out of them that nobody else does!

sevral people called the cops when we set off about 16,000 fire crackers, and one of the ladies who called the cops on us came over and told us that we need to grow up... wtf we were having a good time celebrating. i mean it only happens once a year. she said it was distrupting her party. i think she just didnt like the fact that we were having a good time. i mean she lived over 4 streets away and she walked over with a drink in her hand. i guess she couldnt part with it while she yelled at us/the cop. then the lady next door told us to do it on our own property. when my sister said it was her's the lady said 'BUT ITS OUR NEIGHBORHOOD' while everyone around us is setting off fireworks. oh well i guess we just cant win

i dont know if anyone else has noticed this. but in my neck of the woods people have been setting off fire works for the past week or so. it seems like every year people are setting off fire works earlier and have a lot of left overs after the 4th.... its kinda getting annoying... but what can you do...

I'm sitting here drinking my Rolling Rock trying to forget that my wife and daughter are in Chicago visiting family Been working around the house all day: sanding, washing and sealing the deck, rebuilding patio furniture, pressure washing other furniture to paint tomorrow, all the while hearing all the fun going on. Oh well, they will be back Sunday and I am getting caught up on all my chores. Just needed to vent a little.
