Well I just bought this car a couple of monthe ago. The previous owner had said the tranny and converter had about 5000 miles on it. He told me he had given a reputable shop in GA 1300.00 to rebuild and upgrade it. If you got up under the car everything looked new including converter. It shifts very hard and has been fine.
Well today I took it on a long drive and after awhile it started acting up. It did not want to downshift by itself. Also when you put it in low it would shift hard as hell and if you put into drive it would go through second right into third and bog the car. I pulled over checked for leaks and the fluid level was fine. I looked at the fluid for bubbles and it smelled like wellll like its supposed to smell. If you manually shift up and down its seems ok except when going into ovedrive just cruising it hits as hard as second. It did not do that before. Any thoughts here would be GREATLY appreciated.
