Hard to crank cold and backfires

When the car has sat all night it turns over then slows and backfires, I stop and try and try again and it finally cranks and after it gets warm cranks fine, just changed the maf out and still does it , idid mill the plenum and intake egr tower out and running stock chip. Just getting started guys,
