hard to start when hot code 43

sometimes when I stop and turn the car off like at a gas station it is very hard to start and the ck engine lignt came one time was code 43 is it related?

code 43 is electronic spark control malfunction. it could be a number of things. is it trowing any other codes?

i had this problem and it turned out to be the cam sensor.

have you tested your ignition modual?(i.e. take it to a parts store where they can bench test them? and check the coils to see if there are open windings?)

Have you been messing with the cam sensor, if you have I would check that

Code 43 has nothing to do with the ignition system. It's the ESC module, ECM or wiring in-between. Check your ECM connectors for any signs of corrosion or oxidation, then check your ESC module for the same.

Intermittents are usually due to faulty electrical connections. It's unlikely you have a bad ECM or ESC module.

My code 43 turned out to be the module. If it happens when yours gets hot I would bet it's the module. Try to swap out a known good module and see if the problem goes away.
