What Id do is fab up a hinge and make a door with a latch. use it for storage

Good idea cjmatt. Oh yea!! SMAW- Sheilded metal arc welding. MIG- Metal inert gas. TIG- Tungston inert gas. Different electrodes and metal sheilding to promote metal flow and penetration. Lowest temp through TIG, next best is MIG. You just have to do short bursts in different locations to keep from warping the metal until the seams are done.
