has anyone else noticed their posts disappearing?

ive noticed that my posts and others are dissappearing, just wondering if anyone else noticed. i am going to guess because they are switching servers?

The moderators, of course, have the ability to delete posts that they feel serve no other purpose than to antagonise or harass other board members. I don't think this board is well served by dragging that kind of crap into this forum. I have deleted only one such post and followed it up by posting a explanation. Going forward, if I feel a post should be deleted for the above reasons, I will followup with a post explaining why.

I seem to recall reading a while back that, when posts from the lounge area are wiped out, not necessarily due to content, but even through routine removal to conserve server space, that the post counts of anyone that posted in said post is reduced, because the post no longer exists....or something like that.

I think the lounge was selected for this because the posts aren't full of tech knowledge that would be lost, just ramblings, etc.

That's my theory, FWIW. Could be full of it...

Tell me exactly what is dissappearing? I have got to get to the bottom of this. I have not seen any go. Only ONE post I know of and that is the one Jack spoke of , that is gone. If you post between 2-2:30 am PST the server is backing up every night and will not log during that time. Other than that , please contact me . I want to know what the hell is going on. till then save a copy of your post so if it should dissapper , we have plan B. I promise you , nobody has been intentionally deleting ANYTHING. Little help figuring this out. When did you post? Times please? This is pissing me off. Not any of you but the disappearing act they are doing.

I don't have the exact times, but it seems that about 5 posts over a period of 6 hours are gone. From about 2pm EST to 8pm EST yesterday.

One was called "car stumbles when making right turns". Two were in the for sale section, sway bars and aluminum drums.

I got some email notifications of replies to my posts, but they bring me to other posts...

Missing 2 from the turbo lounge. Somewhere between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm Friday 30th. Dam if this keeps happening i'll never get my avatar!!!
